Why is college like signing up for a house?… Or buying a car?
No one told me that it would be like this.. Im 35 and a freshman in college and I felt out of place (at first) but that quickly changed when i saw ppl my age and older in school.
I quickly found out that you MUST handle your OWN business and not wait on someone that tells you “We will get back to you”…That was a lie cause they seem to NEVER do! and then its your fault if you dont meet deadlines.
Financial Aid is your friend ..IF you ask the RIGHT questions because they wont simply give you the info that you need (depends on who u r dealing with) but for the most part, ask questions or write down questions that you have before you start talking.
SOME of the teachers are alright except the ones that do not like to answer your questions and then say “I have read the email and didnt respond but just letting you know i did read it”…Ummm that doesnt make any sense to me that you have “read it” but didnt respond…I dont have ESP where I can know that you have read the email…UGH!
The Best part is that Im in school and enjoying every minute of it and I will be getting an degree in education and Im excited and happy!, although Im going year round which is alot but who cares Im gonna finish!
